Ways a Volunteer Can Help:

Volunteers give as much time as they are able to. Some volunteers contribute several hours a week and some just volunteer for a couple events a year. Don't hesitate to volunteer because you don't think you will be able to give enough time. Whatever time you have to give is a gift, and we are more than happy to receive your gift!

Our Volunteer Training Program:

Medicare guidelines describe hospice volunteers as unpaid employees; therefore, your training and paperwork must be relatively similar to a paid employee's. Our volunteer training program is built of three phases, and each phase must be completed before you volunteer for our hospice organization.

Volunteer Training is scheduled on an as-needed basis. If you would like more information, call our Volunteer Coordinator, Sandy Harrison, at 989-343-3505.

Click here for more information on our volunteer training program.

*We require surviving family members to wait one year following the death of a loved one before being involved in direct patient care or public relations activities.
